Travel tip 1: Get the whole family to agree on your itinerary

Because all tribes are different, decide together what type of vacation you’d like to spend in Breton country for this family road trip!

Breton peninsula or Beffou forest? Hiking or fishing? There’s a nature road trip for every taste on the Pink Granite Coast. In less than a week, it’s a great opportunity to get a good overview of our region. As for the itinerary… We’ll let you vote!

Our ideas for your green family road trip

📌 Itinerary 1: The start of a sporty family road trip

If you’ve eaten one too many Breton pucks, we’ve got just the thing for you: a sporty family road trip on the Côte de Granit Rose! Parents and children saddle up for an unforgettable adventure from the Presqu’Île Sauvage to the historic center of Lannion. From east to west, you and your family will discover landscapes as beautiful as they are surprising. Who do you think will be the first to reach the Cité des Télécoms?

📌 Itinerary 2: An authentic family holiday

If you want to combine a breath of fresh air for the whole family with the discovery of small Breton towns, an authentic road trip is just what you need! On the program: a walk and birdwatching on the banks of the Bizien estuary, a stroll in the park of the Château de la Roche Jagu and a visit to Tréguier. Between history and nature, it’s a tour that’s sure to satisfy every taste!

📌 Itinerary 3: On the road for an intimate family weekend

For a short break or an extended weekend, go green with the kids on a road trip to discover the mysteries of northern Brittany. From the Forêt de Beffou (the highest forest in Brittany!) to the Plounérin nature reserve, via the beach at Trégrom, this vacation will give you a chance to breathe a little. What will the kids like best? Tales and legends from Brittany “au Tour de Luzel“!

Travel tip 2: Treat yourself to a few cultural (and sporting!) stops.

During your tour, take advantage of every stop to fill up on family visits and activities! Good news: our destination is full of places to explore, with or without a guide, to discover the Breton countryside. A guaranteed change of scenery while staying in France!

Whether it’s a park where the whole family travels back in time, an exciting treasure hunt in the Léguer valley, or a treasure hunt in the heart of one of Brittany’s most beautiful Cité de Caractère, which visit will you choose on your road trip?

Travel tip 3: Find the best 100% nature hikes

To stretch your legs before hitting the road again, and even warm up your calves a little, there’s nothing like a hike in northern Brittany! With its 1,300 kilometers of trails, the Côte de Granit Rose is a hiker’s paradise.

From easy circuits ideal for young children, to itineraries for the most seasoned walkers (perfect if you’ve got sporty teenagers!), there’s something for every tribe. On the menu: breathtaking landscapes between ocean and megalithic sites, shades of blue and granite chaos. Don’t forget your camera!

Travel tip 4: Allow yourself a well-deserved iodine break!

How about switching from green to blue during your family nature road trip on the Pink Granite Coast?

Since a few kilometers of hiking wears out your shoes, dip your toes in the Breton sand. On the agenda: a farniente session on Brittany’s beaches to regain your strength! This is undoubtedly the children’s favorite stage of the road trip. While the youngest is busy building his sandcastle as soon as he arrives, the older ones are looking for new activities. Good news for them! Most of the beaches give them a chance to let off steam: surfing, kayaking, or even beach volleyball… Some of them will fall asleep in the back seat when they get back on the road!

Travel tip 5: Set off on an adventure with a vehicle as solid as a menhir

Setting off on a family nature road trip in Brittany without a vehicle is a bit like making kouign-amann without butter: unthinkable. To make sure the whole family feels at ease, opt for a car that’s big enough. And why not a converted van to please the kids? It’s also the perfect vehicle for bonding the whole family… and being as free as the Breton wind!

Finally, electric bike hire is also a good option if you’re a rather sporty family. You’re guaranteed to discover new landscapes with every pedal stroke!

Travel tip 6: Book your cosy nests at every stage

A family road trip in Brittany means accommodation at every stage! To put stars in the children’s eyes, why not spend a night camping?

It’s the perfect extension of your day in the fresh air, in the forest or by the beach. All you have to do is choose which melody you’d like to wake up to: birdsong or the gentle swell of the waves? And to make the most of family time, book your vacation at a campsite with a swimming pool!
