1 – Far breton with prunes

What brings sailors back to port? Far breton, of course! Plain or with prunes, it’s a true emblem of our destination. Made with butter, sugar, eggs, flour and milk, it could be mistaken for a flan… Be careful! Never say that to a Breton. Here, the butter makes all the difference, giving the Far its dense, fluffy texture… Just the thought of it makes our mouths water.
Ingredients
- 200 g flour
- 40 prunes
- 150 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 l whole milk
- 50 g semi-salted butter
- 1 vanilla pod
- 1 capful dark rum
