A day in Trégastelon the Pink Granite Coast

The Renote Presqu’île

The big day has arrived! We check one last time the backpack, water bottle and cakes are well present. One puts on a last clothing and that’s it, the family is finally ready to discover another jewel of this Pink Granite Coast. Then, in a last impulse, we motivate the troops, we dress warmly and we leave to the adventure!

A breath of fresh air in the wilderness!

Today, we head for Trégastel. There, granite chaos and water expanse will make their show for the greatest happiness of the whole family. The promise of the discovery of an island with sumptuous landscapes is always very well received by the family. Now the kids are more motivated than ever! Barely out of the car, they grab the fishing gear, quickly equip their backpacks on one shoulder and rush to the beach.

A corner of paradise

After a few steps started, you would almost forget that the parking lot is just a few meters away. Birdsong, sea spray, and nature take over the everyday noises. This is what we came for! The granite blocks, some as big as cars, seem to be piled randomly on top of each other, as if they had just fallen from the sky. The amazement is at its peak! This is much more fun for the children! They have fun climbing and scaling the different rocks imagining themselves to be the biggest in this world.

Get creative!”

We find a place to rest. The children are out of breath and need a break. Sitting and watching the sea, they let their imagination run wild and give different names to the rocks whose shapes are incredible, sometimes resembling animals, sometimes resembling everyday objects. They come in all sizes and shapes.

A fairytale castle

They quickly noticed in the distance, the splendid castle of Costaérès as well as the famous lighthouse of Ploumana’ch.

The gourmet break!

At the end of the morning, we chose to stop at the restaurant “The Transat“. The kids didn’t want to take their eyes off the sea! So this seaside restaurant announced itself as the perfect solution. Here, quality is at the rendezvous, to the delight of the whole family! The view is splendid, the meal is good and the children are happy! It even seems that the evening sun offers us a magnificent show before going to bed. We will come back to see that!

Too good those rocks! Great for a mega giga game of hide and seek!

The marine aquarium of

Trégastel

Each beginning of the day we announce the program. The kids can’t wait! They know what we are going to do this afternoon. Their cameras are ready! They are already buzzing! The impatience to discover the Breton marine species is felt! The visit begins and they are quickly amazed by the marine animals. In this space, they are in total immersion for their greatest happiness! What is special about the aquarium? It was built on a legendary site of granite chaos, enough to make the experience unique!

These are rare moments when they even take the time to read the descriptions of the different fish in front of them! The visit ends with a splendid view of the Pink Granite Coast! I still hear the children pushing a “Pouaah”! It is decided, we will return. A real pleasure outing with the family is not to be missed!
