According to tradition, the church of St Ivy was founded by the Knights Templar. A second building was rebuilt at the end of the 15th century by the Beaumanoir workshop in Morlaix.
The lords of Trogorre, considered to be the first lords of the Loguivy truce, had the right of pre-eminence.
In 1790, the trêve of Loguivy became a parish and the tréviale church became a parish church. But in 1856, it lost this status and became a simple chapel.
