The Chapelle du Calvaire overlooks the market town of La Roche-Derrien from a promontory, a platform built on the ruins of the keep of an ancient medieval castle dismantled in 1420. It has only been in La Roche-Derrien since 1866, when it was moved from Lannion, where it had previously stood. The exterior of the Calvary chapel offers a remarkable view of La Roche-Derrien and the Jaudy Valley.
