Chapelle Sainte-Barbe

Sainte-Barbe was the chapel of the coastguards whose batteries defended the port of Toul an Héry against the English invaders from the end of the 16th century until the Napoleonic era. It was even used as barracks when, in the year IV, it housed the artillerymen of the 2nd battalion of the Hautes-Alpes. However, the chapel existed long before the creation of the coastal militia.
