After the War of the Breton Succession, the original Saint-Pierre church in Ploubezre had to be rebuilt. Inscribed on one of the pillars of the surrounding wall, the date 1554 appears to mark the probable end of the church's reconstruction. The bell tower was not built until 1577. It has a classical porch and bears an inscription attesting to its date of construction. Destroyed by fire in the 19th century, the church had to be rebuilt.
